Expanded Website Offers Community-Generated Content for Adobe Users
New York, NEW YORK – October 8, 2008 – MOGO Media, the premier conference and training provider for creative professionals working with Adobe software, today announced that it has acquired PhotoshopTechniques.com, a community-supported website for Adobe® Photoshop® users of all levels. The website will continue to be accessible at www.photoshoptechniques.com and will be available through www.mogo-media.com.
“We are looking forward to combining the terrific content and community from PhotoshopTechniques.com with the MOGO Media family,” said Barry Anderson, founder of MOGO Media. “In the future, we hope to expand our community-supported website to include information on other Adobe Creative Suite products.”
PhotoshopTechniques.com, founded in 2001 by Greg Vander Houwen has become one of the most active Photoshop communities on the Web and has had thousands of members over the last seven years. It is a repository for Adobe Photoshop tutorials, tips and tricks which are approved and posted by its members.
As for the founder of PhotoshopTechniques.com, Vander Houwen sees the acquisition as a positive for both communities, “Photoshop Techniques and MOGO Media make a great combination. Both companies recognize the value of community. When passionate people come together to share their work, everybody wins.”
Vander Houwen will be a consultant during the acquisition and will remain a member of the online community.
